Are you dreaming of a happily blended family and that dream feels impossible?
Do you feel frustrated with trying to balance your needs and those of your combined family?
Are you fed up with all the stress? All the confusion? All the drama?
Do you just want someone to tell you what steps to take and how to make it all work?
I’ve the Happy Blended Families eCourse for people just like you, because I’ve been there – twice!!!
The first time I just bumbled my way through, and I was lucky that I didn’t mess up too bad.
The second time wasn’t quite as easy. My partner felt left out and ignored. His ex-wife didn’t like that he had found a new relationship and made access visits very difficult. We were fighting over money, over children and discipline, and the family dynamics were just not working.
And then I found a course specifically for stepfamilies. We had been living together for 6 months and attending this course together was the best thing we did for our relationship. It enabled us to go on and have a wonderful 26 years together and my children see him as one of the most important people in their lives.
I wish someone had told me all the steps the first time through.
Which is why I’ve put everything I know and all my experience into this course for you.
The Happy Blended Familes eCourse is a live 6 week program, commencing on 17th February 2020.
Each week you’ll get 3 short videos, guiding you through the content.
Then a weekly live Q&A where you can get all of your questions answered, and talk about your specific family scenario.
Module 1: Stepfamily Complexity
To understand the complexity of your specific family, and how this impacts behaviours and experiences in your blended family.
This is this module where we create new expectations for how your family will work.
Module 2: The Couple is the Reason for the Stepfamily
Your relationship is the reason you are blending these families.
In this module we work on your relationship, building good communication skills, supporting your couple bond, and building a team.
Module 3: Acknowledging the Impact of the Past
Acknowledging the history that each person brings into a blended family, as it impacts the present (whether we want it to or not).
In this module we’ll acknowledge how this affect our current relationships and what to do about it.
Module 4: The Polarised Parenting Feedback Loop
In this module, you’ll learn what this loop is, and how it’s currently impacting your blended family. Then you’ll learn how to stop the loop before it starts and de-escalate the situation. This is one of the biggest issues in a Stepfamily and you’ll learn the steps and techniques to handle it. Think ferocious Mumma and Pappa Bear.
Module 5: Effective Co-Parenting
This module will help you learn how to become aware of the changes and feelings of the children involved in the Stepfamily experience.
Effective co-parenting might sound hard, but it’s one of the best things you can do you the children and their behaviour.
Module 6: New Possibilities
In this module you’ll learn all about the positives and new possibilities of your stepfamily life. It’s time to think about new traditions, and how your blended family will thrive together.
Who is Kay Bayly?
I’m Kay Bayly, and I know exactly what it’s like being part of a stepfamily.
My “his, hers, and ours” family includes being married twice, experienced 2 ex-wives, have 8 biological children, 7 stepchildren (4 boys from 1st family and 3 girls from the second family), 12 grandchildren, and 5 step-grandchildren.
Needless to say, the journey has not been easy, but I have walked the path and am now thriving as a stepparent and step-grandparent. Now as a Certified Stepparenting coach I share all that I’ve learnt along the way so that you can avoid the pitfalls of chaos that I endured, and be lifted to a place of calm with skills to navigate the hurdles with ease and grace.
How It Works
You’ll receive a username and password for our online platform.
Each Saturday for the six weeks you will receive access to all that week’s material to work through at your pace to access at any time that suits you.
You’ll also get access to a private support group where you can interact with other participants, and where we have a live Q&A each week to help with any questions about the course, or that week’s material and help with your specific needs and how to apply the material.
There is also a dedicated facebook group which will be open for the 12 weeks that the course is available for. I will be in the group regularly to support and answer questions and there will be some bonus material too.
You’ll need an internet connection, and about 2 hours a week.
This course is a 6 weeks live course, and you will then you will have access to the material for a further 6 weeks. All access to the course material and the dedicated Facebook group will be closed on May 2nd.
After this time, you will have the option to move to a membership group that is open to anyone who has done either my online course, or my in person courses. The course material will be available to all those who are part of the membership for as long as their membership. As I add and improve the course, these will also be added to the membership group. The membership will be a valuable resource to continue your learning and to gain support as you implement the strategies that you have been learning. It will have a dedicated Facebook group and I will be doing Facebook lives and Q&A sessions regularly.
