Your beliefs about success

What are your beliefs about success Hi everybody! It’s Kay here from KayBayly.com and today we’re going to talk about your
beliefs about success.

What do you think success means and can you be successful?

So your goal is to be successful. You have set the goal. You’ve got the intention. It’s where you’re going.

First off. What does success look like for you and can you be successful?

So you’ve got your plans and you’ve gone ready and you’re set and then what stopped you?

It is your belief about success that stops you.

So what do you believe? Do you believe that you as you are right now can be successful? Or do you feel that you have to lose weight to be successful? Or maybe you need to be a bit older? Or maybe you need to be bit younger (which is difficult to achieve)?

What does success looks like?

I love Denise Duffield Thomas when she talks about one of the blocks that she’s obviously had. That success looks like people who are dressed up and you know – wear makeup the jewelry and painted nails and you know they have aspects of a look and she was like, “Well, I don’t want to do that look. I like my jeans and my baggy shirts/”

Can you be successful and wear jeans?

Of course, her answer is, “Absolutely YES”, and so is mine.

I have a wonderful story about a time when we lived up on the Sunshine Coast and we were doing bookkeeping for the many of the businesses around the Sunshine Coast. And my husband and I walked to businesses in the wharf area which is the Molalla bar and there’s a number of shops around the wharf. And a guy walked up to us and he was wearing thongs, pretty tatty shorts and a faded t-shirt and asked us what we were doing and I was like, “Well, what’s up to do with you. You know you’re just a fisherman, obviously.”

No, he wasn’t the fisherman. He was the owner of the wharf and he had no soliciting on any shops.

There is no way you would ever have picked him as the owner of this big complex. Just no way. There’s nothing about him that you would have picked. But why does he have to be walking around in the suit around the Molalla’s bar wharf. It was comfortable as he’s was.

You don’t have to wear designer clothes to be successful.
You don’t have to wear makeup to be successful.
You don’t have to be skinny to be successful.

What are your beliefs about what you have to be to be
successful?

What’s holding you back?

You know you need more education. You need another qualification.

We see that in the industry all the time, don’t we? Where people are going, “Oh yeah! I’m going to do that but I’m just going to go and get another qualification.”

It’s that feeling like, “I can’t be successful unless I’ve got a qualification.”

I had a just spent a seminar on the weekend called “The Heart Mind Body Connect.”

It was absolutely brilliant and most of the speakers there were PhDs. They were doctors, there were medical doctors or doctors of psychology. They all had their doctorate and then Brad
Yates comes on.

And Brad Yates goes, “I shouldn’t be here. I don’t have a doctorate.”

Well, as most of you will know, Brad Yates is actually highly successful as a tapping person but he’s sayin, “I don’t have a doctorate.” “I’m the only person on the speaking circuit here that doesn’t have a doctorate,” he said.

I didn’t realize this that he was an actor and he played a doctor he said, “Does that count?
I’ve been a doctor on TV.” Which I thought it was cute and he showed
some clips of him a there as a doctor on TV. He was a cute young guy but the point of
that of course was, “Do you have to have a doctorate to be successful?”

Well, no. You don’t.

Do you have to have whatever other qualifications you’re looking for to be
successful?

No, you don’t.

So what I want you to do today is to look at all your
thoughts about what it means to be successful.

We often see real estate ladies, real estate women and they dress to the nines and I just it turns me off. I never want to be a real estate person if I have to dress like that.

But maybe I can dress quite casually and be successful anyway.

Maybe I don’t have to wear high heels and a ton of makeup and have hairspray on. You know 20 rings on my fingers.

Maybe I don’t have to be that to be successful and I love the fact that we can follow someone like Denise Duffield Thomas.

And we can be successful.

We can be young mothers and we can be comfortable.

Maybe we can be all of that.

So have a look at your beliefs about what success is and to help you I’ve got a fifty a little opt-in there. A little ebook of fifty five erroneous beliefs that we have about what success looks like – about money myths.

It’s a really good idea to run through that list and have a look and see what beliefs you’ve got about success and money and yourself.

And, of course, once you identify which ones are holding you back, then it’s time to
tap them away.

I hope you enjoyed today’s little blog and happy tapping and we’ll see you on the other side.

Bye
