What if my course is not good enough?

Align to Your Launch Goals in 5 Days

Hi everybody and welcome back to this week’s blog. Today, we’re going to talk about something that happens to many of us especially when we’re writing a course and putting it out into the world.

And it’s the fear that the course is not going to be good enough.

Maybe no one’s going to want it. It’s not going to help people. That you need to put more things into it. You need to do more. That it’s just not good enough as it is.

This is actually a relatively common fear. So don’t feel alone but, of course, let’s not have this fear.

Because it’s not going to help you.

If you carry this fear with you into your launch, then it’s going to stop you from launching enthusiastically.

You’re gonna find yourself reluctant to talk about your product. You’re going to find that you back off doing certain promotion materials.

And there’s just going to be an energy of. “This isn’t good enough. Stay away. Don’t buy.”

Now because that’s not the energy we want when we’re going into launch, and yet you can feel it when people talk about it. It’s like, “Yeah, I’ve got this product that may be sort of good and could maybe help you.”

They’re going, “I don’t want that.”

Very different than the energy of like, “This is exactly what you need. This is gonna make a big difference to people’s lives.”

And you need to have that belief and that energy about your product. Otherwise the launch will fall flat.

So where is this fear and stress coming from?

What is it that has you feeling that your products not good enough?

Is it just that you don’t feel like anything you do is good enough?

And so that’s coming more from like, “I’m not good enough. Nothing I do is good enough. No one likes what I do.”?

Is that the fear or is it the stress of like, “No, what are people gonna say? Maybe someone’s going to criticize it? Maybe people are gonna want to refund? Maybe things aren’t gonna work out? Maybe there’s gonna be tech issues?”

So is that those sorts of fears?

Or is it the worry like, “What’s gonna happen next? I don’t know how this is gonna work. I’ve never done this before.”

And which is true.

If you’ve never done it before then there is going to be things crop up and there is going to be unknowns.

So which one of those things is having you feel like, “I don’t think I can do this. I feel uncomfortable about my product.”

Because it’s probably not the product.

If you honestly put your your best effort into the product and you’ve worked on on your product and you’ve thought about what your customers need. Then it’s probably not the product that’s actually the issue.

So certainly look at that and look at you know have I provided a good service to people.

But in actual fact most of us actually go too far and provide too much stuff on the grounds of like, “I need it to be good enough so I better add a bit more. And add in a bit more and add in a bit more.”

And that actually makes the product worse because you overwhelm your customers.

There’s too much and they just don’t feel they can cope.

So in many ways looking at this fear of “My course is not good enough”. Don’t look at it and think if I just add a bit more it will be good enough.

Because it’s probable that you actually need to add less.

Denise Duffield Thomas talks about her latest launch. She does the Money bootcamp and it sums for $2000. It’s a reasonably expensive product and it’s all passive.  And she said that in the last launch she took stuff out of the product. She actually gave less and put the price up by $500 and people felt that it was a
better course.

Why was it a better course?  Because they didn’t feel so overwhelmed.

They felt like there was things that they could do. And that they can keep up. Because that fear of getting behind and not being able to do everything.

It stops too many people.

So look at your course by all means and think you know, “What do I need?”

But really be aware of that feeling of like you need to add more stuff. Because it’s quite probable that you don’t.

So then the only thing that we need to look at is what’s going on inside. Because that’s where the issue is.

Feeling your course is not good enough is probably coming from you as opposed to the course.

Think about all of those issues about where you feel you’re not good enough. Write them down and tap on them.

Because they need to be cleared before you can have a really successful launch.

I’ve got a challenge coming up on the 12th of November. And it’s gonna be a great challenge for all of those who are launching anything, any product, or service.

Because what we’re going to do is align your mindset to your goals. So we’re gonna make it a tapping for five days. To see just what you can do to feel comfortable with the goal that you’d like to achieve in your launch.

So whether that’s ten people or a hundred people on your launch. Whether that’s in dollar terms or in people terms, let’s align your mindset.

Let’s believe that you can achieve it. Let’s see that your course really is that good and that a number of people are going to want to buy it.

So come and join me on the challenge on the links below. And let’s align your mindset to your launch goals.

We’re gonna talk about some great stuff in those five days. And let’s tap out all of those negatives that say, “That my course is not good enough.”

Because I’m actually sure it is.

So see you on the challenge on the twelfth which is really soon. And happy tapping out all of those mindset whoppers.

Bye
